Lately I have been introducing myself as Rili. (pronounced like Riley or Reilly)

I need distance from toxic masculinity and the name Rili is not only is a more traditionally gender-fluid alternative, it also uses bright vowel sounds, and is the name of Ariana Grande’s pop star character in the movie “Don’t Look Up”.

Going by a different name allows me to be more fluid in my personality, thoughts, and behaviors, as well as more / accurate to my true self/aligned with my true self.
