Robert Xavier Newman, now going by Robot X or Rili (Riley)(they/them) is an actor/musician and a graduate of The Boston Conservatory with a B.F.A. in Musical Theater. At the conservatory, Rob built up strong singing and dance technique with teachers such as Michael Hanley and Michelle Chassé, and refined their acting skills through Meisner, Linklater, Grotowski, Alexander, and more.

Outside of musical theater, Rili is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, composer, and producer. Their music has scored multiple short films, and has a growing and dedicated following on Spotify and Apple Music.

The photos you see as backgrounds for the website are all taken by Rob in the mountains of Juneau, Alaska, where they grew up. The town's natural beauty and vibrant artistic community inspired them to get involved in the arts from a very early age.

Rili is compelled to tell deep, personal stories with unique perspectives, and strives to tell them with kindness, compassion, and open-mindedness.
